If pressurized, fuel distribution will be suspended- Minister
Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera, has said that the fuel distribution activities will have to be suspended if the pressure exerted by the people on the fuel transport bowsers continues.
In a Twitter message Minister Wijesekara has said, “It has been reported thatorganized groups are preventing fuel trucks to pass certain areas demandingthey be unloaded at different fuel stations and threatening to set fire tothem. If this continues, we will have to suspend deliveries for the safety ofthe transport work force.”
