AG given time to file response in Bond case!
A panel of High Court judges comprising Justices Champa Janaki Rajaratne and Namal Balalle today (Jan. 26) adjourned the case to the Attorney General to respond to a preliminary objection filed by the two defendants that the case filed against ten defendants, including former Central Bank Governor Arjun Mahendran, could not be continued.
The case was filed alleging that the government had incurred a loss of over Rs. 688 million during the controversial Central Bank bond auction in 2015.
