Gota Go Gama reaches 50 days; take a black flag in hand
The protest in Gota Go Gama, which commenced opposite the Presidential Secretariat to protest against the President and the government, will reach its 50th day tomorrow (28).
On April 9, a group of people, including social media activists, staged a massive protest march in the Galle Face area against the government.
The protest reached the Presidential Secretariat and the protesters named the site ‘GotaGoGama’.
Subsequently, another protest site was established opposite the Temple Trees in protest of the Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa which was named ‘MynaGoGama’.The authorities took steps to air Pirith using loudspeakers in order to drown the voices of the protesters
