Sonala puts SLRC in jeopardy again!
Present Chairman of the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation (SLRC) – Sonala Gunawardena has yet again put the state TV station in a grave situation.
This is due to the newly appointed media minister – Bandula Gunawardena refusing to allot further funding to the SLRC.
Recently, minister Gunewardena had informed all Director Board members of state institutions to step down, in order to appoint fresh Director Boards. However, Sonala had approached the President and requested to be allowed to retain his position as SLRC chairman. Accordingly, the President has urged the same from the media minister.
