Electricity supply, declared as an essential service
President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has issued a Gazette Extraordinary declaring electricity supply as an essential service from today (June 08).
The gazette comes just hours before Ceylon Electricity Board Engineers’ Union commences a strike from midnight today (08) over the proposed amendments to the CEB Act.
