AMBASSADOR OF OMAN VOWS TO ASSIST SRI LANKA

The Oman Ambassador vows to assist Sri Lanka!

Ambassador of Oman to Sri Lanka Ahmed Ali Saeed Al Rashdi had assured President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa that his country will assist in strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries in the areas of fuel, gas, energy, employment and investment opportunities.

The Oman Ambassador gave this assurance when he met with the President at the Presidential Palace in Fort today prior to his departure after ending his term in Sri Lanka.

About 25,000 Sri Lankans are currently employed in Oman and the President requested the Ambassador to assist in increasing employment opportunities in the training sector.

The President commended the assistance rendered by the Oman Ambassador Ahmed Ali Saeed Al Rashdi during his eight-year tenure in Sri Lanka and discussed the wide scope for trade and investment opportunities in the country.

Ambassador Al Rashdi had told the President that he is due to report for duty at the Oman Foreign Ministry and vowed to work towards strengthening the ties between the two countries.
