REPORT ON FUEL DISTRIBUTION REQUESTED FROM ATTORNEY GENERAL BY SUPREME COURT

Supreme Court ordered AG to submit report on fuel distribution and priority!

The Supreme Court today (04) informed the Attorney General to submit a report on the 12th of July detailing the purchase of fuel, its distribution, and priority of the supply and distribution.
The order was issued when a Fundamental Rights petition filed by the Bar Association of Sri Lanka seeking a proper mechanism to resolve the hospital and transportation services which are crippled as a result of the fuel crisis, was taken up for consideration today.

The order was issued by a bench comprising justices Vijith Malalgoda, Mahinda Samayawardhana, and Arjuna Obeysekera citing the Prime Minister, the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation, the Ceylon Electricity Board and 37 others as respondents in the case.
