Court rejects police request to prevent protest
The Colombo Magistrate Keminda Perera has refused to issue a restraining order preventing protesters from entering the areas close to the President’s official residence in Fort, Colombo.
However, Colombo Magistrate court said the police are authorized to take necessary action in the event of any unlawful activities.
