Indian fishermen busy at work in Sri Lankan waters!

The Times of India website reported that Indian fishermen are taking advantage of the difficult situation faced by their Sri Lankan brothers by engaging in fishing activities in Sri Lankan waters.
The Times of India website reported that security patrols of the Sri Lanka Navy have been reduced due to acute fuel shortages and political uncertainty.

Meanwhile, the fishermen of the northern province have requested the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin to protect their livelihood by preventing Indian fishermen from illegally fishing in Sri Lankan waters, the Indian website reported.
The website reports that Mannar District Fishermen’s Association Secretary and Northern Provincial Fishermen’s Association Spokesman Noor Mohammad Alam had said that if Indian fishermen consider Sri Lankan fishermen as their brothers, they will not encroach on Sri Lankan waters.
