Established a few decades ago, the Pamunuwa textile village has gained a reputation throughout the country. Sri Lankans from all parts of the country including the major cities like Kandy, Anuradhapura, Kurunegala, Avissawella, Galle, Matara etc. visited this textile village daily to purchase ready-made garments and clothing materials.
