People did what the Opposition could not do: Rajapaksas should leave politics
Parliamentarian Patali Champika Ranawaka hailed the people of this country for the task they did where the opposition political parties had failed.
He further said that the protesters did a great job to drive out the Rajapaksa leaders.
Addressing a media briefing today (12) he said that the only way to calm the public is for the Rajapaksa clan to make a statement before the nation and leave politics.
He further said that in the next election the people’s mandate should be considered in appointing the country’s leaders.
