Speaker summons urgent party leaders meeting
The Speaker of Parliament Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena has called for an urgent party leaders’ meeting at 5.00 pm today (13) to discuss the country’s situation.
A special meeting of the Committee on Parliamentary Affairs is scheduled to be held at 5.00 pm to discuss the volatile situation that has arisen in the country and regarding the appointment of a successor president.
