Official statement on GR’s resignation, today
The Speaker’s Office says Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s letter of resignation as President was received through the Sri Lanka High Commission in Singapore.
Issuing a statement, the Speaker’s Office said the authenticity of the letter will be confirmed and an official statement will be issued tomorrow (15).
Earlier, Speaker of Maldives parliament – Mohamed Nasheed has Tweeted that Gotabaya Rajapaksa has resigned as President of Sri Lanka.
