Arrest warrants issued for 2 including IUSF convenor
Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court has issued warrants for the arrest of Inter-University Monetary Fund (IUSF) convenor – Wasantha Mudalige and Ven. Rathkarawwe Jinarathana Thero today (21).
The case was filed by the Colombo Fort Police against the accused for constituting an unlawful blockade during a protest staged in the Fort area in 2021 was called before Colombo Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage today.
Mudalige and Ven. Rathkaravwe Jinarathana Thero, who are named as suspects in the case, had failed to appear in court.
Accordingly, giving his assent to a request made by the police, the magistrate had decided to issue the arrest warrants.
