TWO policemen hospitalized during investigation
Two police officers deployed to investigate a case had been hospitalized after being assaulted by a sharp instrument, Pitigala police say.
They had gone to investigate a suspect wanted over several charges including murder and rape.
The CI of the Minor Complaints desk at the Pitigala police and a PC have been assaulted in this manner. When a backup team had rushed to the scene, the suspect was fired while attempting to flee.He too, has been hospitalized.
