Court orders police to handover cash found from Prez House
The Colombo Fort Magistrate – Thilina Gamage has ordered the Fort Police OIC to immediately produce the Rs. 17.8 Mn found inside from the President’s House by protestors.
The Fort magistrate also ordered to release 04 suspects who had been arrested over several charges including unlawful entry to the President’s House.
The suspects were ordered to be released on a surety of Rs. 500,000 each.
The Fort police had informed courts that the suspects had been present where the money was being counted by a group of protestors.
