Regulatory body to replace NFC?
A Regulatory Commission will replace the National Film Corporation (NFC) as the NFC is not fulfilling its desired objectives, Minister of Mass Media – Bandula Gunawardena says.
The decision was taken according to a recommendation made by the National Film Policy Formulation Committee.
Minister Gunawardena has emphasized that the main responsibilities assigned to the proposed regulatory body will be processes related to the import, exhibition and distribution of film production.
