Interim budget speech on Aug 30
The interim budget speech or the Appropriation (Amendment) Bill is scheduled to be delivered to the parliament on Aug. 30 by President Ranil Wickremesinghe in his capacity as the Minister of Finance.
Accordingly, the parliament will convene at 1.00 p.m. on August 30, and the interim budget speech will be presented until 2.00 pm
The Members of Parliament will debate the interim budget speech for two days on August 31 and September 01, from 9.30 am – 5.30 pm.
