Woman who pushed SLPPers to Beira Lake, remanded

A woman who is said to have pushed Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) supporters into the Beira Lake in Colombo on the 9th of May, was further remanded until Sep. 01.

Colombo Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage ordered for the suspect to be produced in an identification parade on 1st September, and to conceal the identity when escorted to court.

The Colombo Crimes Division arrested the woman with regard to the investigations on the incident where SLPP supporters who were returning from a meeting at Temple Trees, were pushed into the Beira Lake.
