A grand victory parade was held today to welcome the Sri Lankan men’s cricket and women’s netball teams who were crowned Asian Champions last week.
The Sri Lanka national men’s cricket team defeated Pakistan to win the Asia Cup 2022 finals on Sunday (11).
The Sri Lanka women’s netball team was crowned Asian Netball Champions after defeating Singapore 63 – 53 at the finals also on Sunday (11).
A grand victory parade was organized this morning to welcome and celebrate the victories of the two national sports teams.
The Sri Lanka men’s cricket and women’s netball teams participated in the victory parade that was conducted from the Katunayake airport to Colombo.
Large crowds were witnessed along the route showing their appreciation and support for the two teams.
