Parliament’s monthly CEB bill is nearly Rs. 06 mn!
The monthly electricity bill of Parliament is close to Rs. 06 million, It was revealed today (20).
It was during a verbal exchange between Samagi Jana Balawegaya MP – Ajith Mannapperuma and Minister of Power and Energy – Kanchana Wijesekera.
Noting that the monthly electricity bill of Parliament is close to Rs. 06 million, Mr. Mannapperuma added that accordingly, a solar powered system must be established in order to reduce it.
Responding, Minister Kanchana Wijesekera has also echoed the importance of a solar powered electricity system.
However, the minister had pointed out that although the ministry cannot provide funds for that, they can provide technical support.
