Two suspects involved in a bank robbery in Thambuttegama have been arrested.

The Police said the suspects had attempted to rob Rs. 22.3 million in cash that was brought to be deposited in a private bank in the area today.

The suspects had fled the area after stealing Rs. 5 million out of the cash.

They had been arrested along with a weapon following a brief struggle with a Police Sergeant.
