Govt. default on construction payments: Union
The government is yet to make payments ranging between Rs. 150 and 200 billion in relation to the construction projects that have been implemented in the past, the National Construction Association of Sri Lanka (NCASL) said.
NCASL Chairman Mr. M. D. Paul said that the receipt of the money has been delayed for about a year.
Meanwhile, Transport and Highways Minister Dr. Bandula Gunawardana said that he will discuss the matter with the Finance Ministry and take steps to implement a relief payment system.
