SLPP’s new journey artificial: Maithripala
Former President and Member of Parliament Maithripala Sirisena said the new journey commenced by the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) from Kalutara is ‘artificial’ and ‘absurd’.
The former president expressed these views while speaking to the media after visiting the Sri Dalada Maligawa in Kandy.
He said that he is not aware whether more Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) members will take up ministerial positions.
The former president said the SLFP proposed to establish an all-party government. “If an all-party government was formed, the country would continue to receive international support and aid,” he said.
