The third edition of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) cricket tournament is due to kick off on 6th December 2022.

Here are 05 key updates on the upcoming LPL 2022:

• Cricketing legends Sir Vivian Richards, Wasim Akram, and Sanath Jayasuriya appointed brand ambassadors

• The tournament will run from 6-23 December at three venues Hambantota, Kandy, & Colombo

• Players from India, Australia, & England have pulled out of the tournament due to its reschedule

• Injuries to some Sri Lankan players & the non-availability of Danushka Gunathilaka, franchises are allowed to pick new players without a draft, the selectors have given the names of 10-12 players to replace them

• The rest of the players will remain the same as picked during the Player Draft
