FORMER MINISTER RAVI KARUNANAYAKE WITH 09 OTHERS EXONERATED FROM 11 CHARGES OUT OF 22 IN THE 2016 BOND CASE

Bond case : Ravi & others released from 11 charges

The Colombo High Court Trial at Bar today (06) released former minister Ravi Karunanayake and 09 others from 11 charges out of 22 in the 2016 Bond case.

This was announced by the Colombo High Court Trial at Bar comprising justices Amal Ranaraja, Namal Balalle and Aditya Patabendige.

Justice Aditya Patabendige informed that 11 charges leveled against the suspects cannot be continued.

Appearing on behalf of the Attorney General, Additional Solicitor General – Priyantha Nawana requested for a date to decide whether the charge sheet would be amended, removed or an alternative legal action will be sought.

Accordingly, the court ordered to take up the case again on Jan. 26.
