Infant found abandoned inside train
A baby was discovered deserted in the bathroom of an express train heading from Colombo to Batticaloa.
The deserted newborn was found at approximately 7:00 pm yesterday at the Colombo Fort railway station.
The authorities were notified of the infant and subsequently transferred it to the National Hospital in Colombo.
An investigation has been initiated by the police to locate the child’s parents.
