No power cuts from today!
The Ministry of Power and Energy has announced that there will be no power cuts in any part of the island from today (10).
It is reported that the 2nd and 3rd generators at the Norochcholai power plant which were shut down recently, have been reconnected to the national grid.
It was decided on the 4th to suspend the power supply to some parts of the island for a maximum of one hour between 6 pm and 9.30 pm.
