Police seeks teacher for beating student with S-lon pipe
Veyangoda police have commenced investigations into an incident where a Grade-13 student of the Veyangoda Bandaranayake Central College had been beaten with a S-lon pipe by a teacher.
The student has been admitted to the Wathupitiwala hospital with injuries and the teacher who is said to be behind the incident has disappeared from his house in Humbutiyawa in Nittambuwa.
The student had been beaten for not attending academic activities on Dec. 10.
Preliminary investigations had revealed that the student’s injuries had been caused after being beaten with a S-lon pipe.
