Vaccination card, a must for Sri Pada pilgrimage
Carrying the vaccination card has been made mandatory for pilgrims on Sri Pada pilgrimage.
The Sri Pada pilgrimage season will commence from Dec. 18 and last until May 16, 2022.Several other COVID-19 guidelines have also been implemented for pilgrims.
An extraordinary gazette issued by the District Secretariat of the Ratnapura District, stated that pilgrims are to wear face masks, maintain distance and follow proper health guidelines during the journey.In addition, pilgrims will not be permitted to remain at the Sri Pada Compound and shall leave once they have finished worshiping.
