Heated situation during Chamara’s visit

A heated situation had taken place during an observation visit by State Minister Chamara Sampath Dasanayake to the Lanka Phosphate Company Ltd. located in Eppawala this morning (17).

Employees had pointed out to the minister that the company had incurred a staggering loss by importing a spare part of a grinding machine, which was not required.

Employees had attempted to assault the executive officer said to be behind this fraudulent move, which was prevented by the intervention of the police.
