NOROCHCHOLAI STILL SICK AILING UNIT POWER CUTS INEVITABLE

Norochcholai still ailing – further power cuts inevitable!

The Ceylon Electricity Board said that as two of the three power generators at the Norochcholai Coal Power Plant are still dysfunctional, intermittent power cuts will have to be imposed in certain areas.

The Norochcholai power plant was shut down following a nationwide power outage on the 3rd and exactly seven days later 300 MW of the power plant was connected to the national grid on the 10th.

But they say the other two generators are still out of order and intermittent power cuts will have to be imposed across the country until one of the power generators is turned on.
