“I left the Information Commission because I could not work according to my conscience”
Dr. Athulasiri Samarakoon says he resigned from the Information Commission because he could not act in accordance with his conscience.He said this expressing his views to the media.He further added that he had decided to resign as he felt that there would be a conflict of interest.
He says he is a university lecturer and works in civil society politically, and he felt that there could be a conflict of interest between his membership of this commission and this work.
