Having completing his secondary education at Mahanama College had undergone a diploma course in writership and journalism at the Sri Jayewardenapura University which had helped him immensely to join ITN Lakhanda with consummate ease after a tenure successfully completed as an expert at China radio Sinhalese service, as a Lakhanda communicator in year 2004..
