A circular has been issued by the secretary of the treasury, giving special directions about several areas in the public sector, including expenditure control, essential expenditure, salaries, allowances and travel expenses.

It indicates that the fiscal space has become extremely limited due to the increase in public expenditure and limited public revenue in the challenging economic environment.

Accordingly, it has been informed to act according to the instructions issued.
