Jagath Priyankara of the Jathika Nidahas Peramuna is poised to assume the parliamentary position left vacant by the untimely passing of State Minister Sanath Nishantha, who tragically lost his life in a fatal accident this morning.

Jagath Priyankara serves as the Puttalam district leader of Jathika Nidahas Peramuna under the leadership of MP Wimal Weerawansa.

It’s worth noting that Jathika Nidahas Peramuna contested the last parliamentary election as part of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna, and Jagath Priyankara holds the next position in the SLPP preferential voting list for Puttalam.
