The Committee on High Posts has approved 3 new appointments, including the appointment of a High Commissioner and a Ministry secretary.

Accordingly, the committee has greenlighted the appointment of Mr. U.L.M. Jawhar as the new Sri Lankan ambassador to Canada as well as the appointment of Dr. Sulakshana Jayawardena as the new secretary of the Power and Energy Ministry.

In addition, the appointment of Ms. M..E.M. Joseph Weninger as the new Sri Lankan ambassador to Egypt has also been approved.
