The Cabinet has approved amendments to the Penal Code criminalizing all forms of sexual harassment and sexual assault.

The draft Bill prepared by the Legal Draftsman has received clearance of Attorney General, the Government said.

Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Justice, Prison Affairs and Constitutional Reforms to publish the draft Bill in the Government Gazette was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.

The Bill will then be presented in Parliament for approval, the Government said.
