The railway control room reports that the chief conductor of the express train traveling from Colombo Fort to Trincomalee was injured after falling off the train.

The Trincomalee-bound train, which stopped at Gampaha Railway Station early this morning (16), did not receive the signal from the conductor to continue its journey.

Upon investigation, officials discovered that the conductor had fallen from the train near Bulagahagoda while it was moving. He was subsequently admitted to Ragama Hospital.

The Railway Control Room noted that the train was delayed by approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes due to this incident.
