Police fire water cannon to disperse unemployed graduates’ protest
The Police have fired water cannons to disperse a protest near Polduwa Junction in Sri Jayawardenapura Kotte today.
The protest was held by unemployed graduates at Polduwa Junction near Diyatha Uyana.
Meanwhile, a protest march was also staged by University Non-Academic Staff in Colombo today.
The protest was organized by the University Trade Union Joint Committee (UTUJC).
As a result of the protest, vehicular movement was restricted near Lotus Road in Colombo-Fort.
