Range Bandara refutes claims on media
Former MP Palitha Range Bandara has refuted claims that he has been removed from the post of United National Party (UNP) General Secretary.
Addressing a media briefing, Bandara asserted that all such claims made in the media, are false and he intended to respond to these claims soon.
“Several newspapers and social media posts had claimed that I was removed from the post of general secretary. I have not yet resigned from this position officially. Nor have I been officially informed by party leader Ranil Wickremesinghe that I have been removed from the post,”
Bandara urged all those who made allegations against him to conclude their attacks within the next week, as he hopes to respond to these claims in the near future.
“Me and my family have been constant victims of political revenge. I remind those who are responsible, not to exact revenge from my children. I may resign or be removed from the post, but I will always be a UNP member,” Bandara said.
