Postal Department to distribute polling cards on special weekend day
The Department of Posts has completed distributing about 3 million official polling cards for the 2024 presidential election.
The distribution process, which started on September 3, will continue until September 14.
Deputy Postmaster General Rajitha Ranasinghe announced that Sunday, September 8, will be a special day dedicated to distributing polling cards despite it being a weekend.
Cards will be delivered door-to-door from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and recipients are urged to stay home to sign for and collect their cards.
