Several Governors appointed
Nine new provincial Governors have been appointed by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
They were sworn in before the President at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo, a short while ago.
The newly appointed Governors are as follows:
1.Western Province – Mr.Hanif Yusoof (Founder of Expo Lanka Group)
2.Northern Province – Mr. Nagalingam Vethanayahan (Former GA Jaffna)
3.Sabaragamuva Province – Mrs.Adikari Appuhamillage Champa Janaki Rajarathna,(Retired High Court Judge)
4.North Western – Mr.Tissa Kumarasiri Warnasuriya (Former secretary Ministry of Agriculture livestock land and irrigation)
5.Southern Province – Mr.Madduma kankanamalage Bandula Harischandra (Former District Secretary)
6.North Central – Mr.Wasantha Jinadasa (Retired High court Judge)
7.Eastern Province – Professor Jayantha Lal Ratnasekera (Former vice chancellor UVA wellassa University)
8.Central province – Prof.Sarath Bandara Samarasinghe Abayakoon
9.UVA province – Mr.Jayasekara Mudiyanselage Kapila jayasekara (Former Ministry Secretary)
