AFTER MISSILE ATTACKS SRI LANKANS SAFE IN ISRAEL

Sri Lankans safe in Israel amid missile strikes

Sri Lankan Ambassador to Israel, Nimal Bandara, has confirmed that no Sri Lankans have been harmed by the recent missile strikes launched by Iran.

He assured that the Sri Lankan Embassy has advised all nationals in the region to remain in safe shelters, and the situation is being closely monitored.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) launched missile strikes targeting key military sites, claiming the attack was in retaliation for assassinations and military actions by Israel.

The strikes have caused damage, including to gas platforms in the Mediterranean Sea, and Iranian media reported that 80% of the missiles hit their intended targets.

The situation remains tense, with further warnings of retaliation from Iran should Israel respond to the attacks.
