Foreign cigarettes & liquor seized in Pettah
Police have arrested a suspect along with a stash of illegally imported foreign liquor bottles and cigarettes at Third Cross Street in Pettah yesterday (Nov. 06).
Following a tip off, officers of the Pettah Police raided the location to find 210 bottles of foreign liquor and 50,000 foreign cigarettes (250 cartons) that were illegally imported.The 54-year-old suspect arrested is a resident of Colombo 10, police add.
Further investigations are underway.
