Freedom for Ranjan on Independence Day?
Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa has stated that he strongly believes that Ranjan Ramanayake will be released on Independence Day.
He was speaking after visiting imprisoned Ranjan Ramanayake this morning (03).
The Opposition Leader further said, “As an artist he was doing immeasurable service to the industry. Further strengthening his social service activities, he was a leader who sacrificed all his allowances, pay and privileges for the betterment of the public. Hence, we believe that he will receive full pardon tomorrow. I request the President to give priority to humanity and release him tomorrow. I make this proposal in the name of humanity.”
