Govt increases Tax on all types of liquor
The government has increased the duty on all types of liquor effective midnight today (10), according to the Ministry of Finance.
Media reports suggest that liquor prices are expected to rise by 5% to 6% due to the tax hike.
However, the revised liquor prices have not yet been announced.
