Pro-LTTE supporters agitate after Theekshana joins CSK

A social media campaign was launched by pro- LTTE activists against Sri Lanka’s spinner Mahesh Theekshana after Chennai Super Kings [CSK] picked Theekshana at the IPL auction 2022.A day after the IPL 2022 Auction, fans took to Twitter to call for a boycott on CSK for picking Maheesh Theeksana at the bidding event.

Theeksana was signed by CSK on day 2 of the IPL Auction for a sum of INR 70 lakhs and after he was roped in by the defending champions, fans took to Twitter to express their dismay and called for a boycott on the franchisee.

Several social media users expressed their fury over CSK’s decision to buy Theekshana as he represents the Sri Lankan Army.
