NAMES OF ACCOUNT HOLDERS IN BANK CREDIT SUISSE IN SWITZERLAND MOSTLY OF THOSE INVOLVED IN SERIOUS CRIMES INCLUDING SRI LANKANS REVEALED

List of Swiss bank account holders revealed!

The details of Credit Suisse in Switzerland, the world’s largest private bank, which has a number of clients involved in serious crimes around the world, including in Sri Lanka has been revealed.

According to the British newspaper The Guardian, there is information on the hidden wealth of more than 100 billion Swiss francs (worth more than 22080 billion rupees).

The revelations have leaked the account details of 30,000 Credit Swiss bank customers worldwide involved in torture, drug trafficking, money laundering and other serious crimes.

The Guardian reports that the Swiss accounts belong to account holders in 120 countries around the world.

Although the report directly does not mention Sri Lankan customers, it is noteworthy that Sri Lanka is also marked on the map with the countries where the clients are staying.

It is reported that some of the accounts that have been leaked have been opened in 1940 but 2/3rds of the accounts have been opened after year 2000
