Health unions’ strike suspended for 10 days
The strike action launched by 17 health unions will be suspended for 10-days.
The Federation for Health Professionals said the 48-hour token strike that was launched at 8am will be suspended for 10-days from 8am tomorrow.
The Federation said they engaged in discussions with the Secretary of the Ministry of Health last night.
The union members issuing a statement said during the discussions, attention was directed to the on-going power and fuel crisis and the inconvenience the public is faced with amidst all such difficulties and reached a decision to temporarily suspend the strike action.
The Federation however condemned the failure by authorities to respond to their demands and instead provide health facilities to the private sector.
